- Financial controllers
- General ledger accountants

The period close is a checklist run by tired people against a deadline: sub-ledgers to reconcile to the general ledger, intercompany to balance, batches to post, exceptions to chase. The same reconciliations are rebuilt every month, and the close finishes when the last spreadsheet does.
JDE CloseMate™ runs the checklist with the team. It reconciles sub-ledgers to the GL as the month goes on, surfaces unposted and out-of-balance items early, and tracks every task so the close is shorter, quieter and repeatable.
What JDE CloseMate™ does
Reconciles accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory and fixed assets to the general ledger continuously
Finds unposted batches, out-of-balance journals and intercompany differences early
Tracks the close checklist with owners, dependencies and status
Explains reconciliation differences down to the transactions that cause them
Drafts the standard accruals and reclassification journals for review
How JDE CloseMate™ works
The same governed loop as every Agent on JDE AgentOS™ (monitor, analyse, recommend, execute), applied to this Agent's job. Nothing reaches JD Edwards without a person approving it.
Monitor
Follows batches, journals, sub-ledger activity and the close calendar through the period.
Analyse
Reconciles sub-ledgers to the GL and isolates the transactions behind any difference.
Recommend
Lists what to post, correct or approve, in the order that unblocks the close.
Execute
Posts only journals a controller has approved; every posting is logged.
What Data It Touches
- Reads: general ledger, sub-ledger balances and transactions, batch headers, intercompany accounts, the close calendar
- Writes: reconciliation reports, checklist status and approved journal entries
- Never touches: period-end control settings or account structures
Security: Where the Data Stays and Who Can Access It
